Special Note to Art in the Park Saugatuck Artists

Hello Reader

Attention Art in the Park Saugatuck Artists:

The event is fast approaching and we are now 7 and a half weeks away from the big day! I have some new information along with the details sent in the last update.

*Ad promos will be created for you to share with your friends, family and social media contacts. Watch for the details about 4 weeks before the event. Your help to promote will increase your sales and bring more people to Art in the Park Saugatuck.

*The booth location map will be sent out about 2 weeks before the event. There are some returning artists who have requested specific spots. Returning artists get first dibs if they have a request but there really is no best spot in this park. All of the booths will be located along sidewalks for easy access. The booths will also have extra lawn space on one or 2 sides. See this Wicks Park booth layout from last year for an example. Note that we added more booths last year around the gazebo where there are no sidewalks so the arrangement ended up a little different from this map.

I will send out a new preliminary map with your booth location to make sure I get your requests correct. You will have a few days to let me know before the final map is created.

*There is a restroom building in the park. This building has a mural painted on the outside that replicates Seurat's "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte." https://www.artic.edu/artworks/27992/a-sunday-on-la-grande-jatte-1884

*NOTE: There will be live music performing for about 4-5 hours during the show. They will be stationed on the gazebo, an iconic landmark for Saugatuck. The music is Americana style with some amplification. The music attracts more customers and the shoppers love the live music. Some artists have said the music is loud if you are near the gazebo so please let me know if you would rather stay away from that area.
