SnowFest Now in Michigan

Published 4 months ago • 1 min read

Hello Reader,

Here's a couple of events that will be perfect due to the recent avalanche of snow in Michigan. Both are ongoing events that are designed for winter's snow and ice.

East Side

"Zehnder’s Snowfest has been host to one of the top snow and ice sculpting events in North America for the past 32 years. Visitors have enjoyed larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings each year. In addition, Zehnder’s Snowfest will have entertainment for the entire family, fireworks, petting zoo and children’s activities. Plan now to attend Zehnder’s Snowfest 2024!"

That message is from Zehnder's in Frankenmuth. My husband and I went there for a romantic weekend a few years ago and it was so worth it! We saw the most amazing array of beautiful and gigantic snow and ice sculptures while strolling arm in arm through the snow covered streets. It was as cold as these last few days then but this week the weather will be warming up.

West Side

Grand Rapids has a free creative event going on now through March 10 but I would not wait to go and see the ice sculptures. Here's a link to the website: World of Winter

Many activities and fun nighttime activities are scheduled, all in downtown Grand Rapids.

Hello Reader, Commissioned Art Commissions are a totally different way to sell artwork. The traditional way to market and sell artwork is to find the buyers after the artwork is created. Most working artists have lots of inventory waiting to be sold but with commissions the artwork is sold before it's created. Whether you are interested in finding out more about art commissions or not, I would like to get your feedback for future projects on teaching the business side of art. Please take a...
